June Plein Air Painting Class
Spend five weeks (June 7, 14, 28 and July 12 and 19) painting au plein air at several East Bay outdoor locations. Whether you are a beginner or a more advanced painting student, you'll enjoy discovering beginner-friendly painting spots, and improving your technique in the company of new friends.
This package of four sessions covers a variety of topics: how to start a painting, choosing and mixing colors for landscape painting, brushwork, use of photos, and thinking in layers. You'll receive much or as little feedback as you desire. Use the media of your choice. We'll spend one session at each painting location, so that students can have sufficient time to complete a painting.
SECURING YOUR SPOT
All class, workshop and individual coaching time needs to be purchased before the first day of instruction. Registration is complete (i.e. you will have a spot) when you finalize your purchase. Due to COVID-19, instructional time is remote (via Zoom) unless noted. In person instruction is conducted outdoors, with masks and at a distance of six feet.
REFUNDS AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Working for myself, I don’t have the resources of an institution. When you cancel last minute I am often unable to find another person to take your spot. Please purchase class time after consulting your calendar and double-checking your commitments. I promise to make every effort to accommodate your needs.
Once the class has started, no refunds will be made for missed sessions. Full refunds for workshops and classes are made up to five business days before the first day of instruction, upon receipt of an email request. A 50% refund will be given if request is made less than five business days before the first day of instruction. You can also find someone else to take the workshop in your place and have them pay you. Please note that no refunds can be made when you cancel less than 24 hrs before the time of the workshop or class, but you will receive credit toward a future class or workshop.
