Classes and Workshops
SECURING YOUR SPOT
All class, workshop and individual coaching time needs to be purchased before the first day of instruction. Registration is complete (i.e. you will have a spot) when you finalize your purchase. Due to COVID-19, no individual or group instruction will take place in my studio. In person instruction is conducted outdoors or in large classrooms, with masks.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Working for myself, I don’t have the resources of an institution. When you cancel last minute I am unable to find another person to take your spot. Please purchase instructional time after consulting your calendar and double-checking your commitments. Please read my Refund Policy below, for more details.
RESCHEDULING
Students purchasing individual instruction who give at least 24 hrs of written notice are entitled to one rescheduling instance at no charge. All reescheduling instances after that will be refunded at 50% of the registration fee. Classes and workshops cannot be reescheduled.
REFUNDS
Full refunds for workshops and classes are made up to five business days before the first day of instruction, upon receipt of an email request. A 50% refund will be given if request is made less than five business days before the first day of instruction. You can also find someone else to take the workshop/class in your place and have them pay you. Please note that no refunds can be made when you cancel less than 24 hrs before the time of the workshop or class, but you will receive credit toward a future class or workshop.
MISSED CLASS SESSIONS
No refunds can be made for missed sessions once you enroll. This policy applies to classes, workshops, individual sessions or custom group instruction.
DROP-INS
I do not offer drop-in instruction because my instruction is sequential and the material is cumulative. The only exception would be if you are a new student, not a beginner, and would like to try out a class I am already teaching. Please contact me to find out if this can be arranged.
ADA AND OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS
I am happy to make any ADA accommodations. I can also make instructional changes that will better serve neurodiverse students, if they can be made without affecting the quality of instruction for the other students. This is confidential information that won't be shared. Please note that not all plein air painting locations are accessible to students with mobility issues. Some require a few minutes of walking between the parking lot and the painting spot.
DOGS
Service dogs are welcome to join us. Unfortunately our class cannot accommodate the needs of students who must bring an emotional support dog (psychiatric support dogs are service dogs and are welcome), even if they are well-trained, mellow and/or small.
