Border Visions is a group show at the San Pablo Community Center showcasing local women of color and Latinx, Afro-Latinx artists. It powerfully explores the multifaceted concept of crossing lines—both literal and metaphorical—within the East Bay. Jessica DeJesus, Rebeca Garcia-Gonzalez, Carmen Meléndez Lugo, Xioneida Ruiz, and Maria Tuttle interpret the landscape, challenging traditional genres or inviting discovery and exploration into overlooked subjects.

Don't miss the opening reception from 2-4 pm on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The San Pablo Community Center is located at 2450 Road 20, in the town of San Pablo. All five artists will be present during the opening reception and will have small works or prints for sale. The show will run until Jan 7, 2027.

My painting Ascenso y Descenso de Nuestros Líderes has been accepted to Aquí y Allá: El Derecho de Pertenecer, a multidisciplinary exhibition bringing together artists whose practices engage with themes of identity, migration, cultural memory, belonging, and cross-border experience.

The 50 artist show will be curated by Dr Martina Ayala in Ciudad de Mexico. Aqui y Allá “creates a space for dialogue and artistic exchange that reflects the lived realities and creative expressions of artists working across and between geographies”. The show will run from October 7 to November 21, 2026, with an opening reception on October 7, 2026 at Foro Indie Rocks! Gallery.
