The following is a general list that can be used for a mural painting class with youth.
Acrylic Medium, Matte Quart Bottle
White Acrylic Primer, Gallon
White Synthetic Brush Set
White Synthetic Brush Set - Round
Bob's Fine Vine Charcoal
Six rolls of Scotch painter's tape - 1'' x 60 yards
20 4 oz Polypropylene wide mouth Jar
20 8 oz Polypropylene wide mouth Jar
I box of medium and large nitrile gloves for the kids
Four 2” nylon brushes for large areas
Four 1” nylon brushes for large areas
One rough surface area roller for each student, with a stick if the mural is taller than 5 feet
A paint pans with a two liners for every two students
Two 5 gallon buckets for rinsing hands, brushes
A bag of rags
One yardstick for every student
Chalkline with a bottle of chalk for every two students
1 roll of Black Mineral Surface Low Slope Roofing (33-36’ x 3´ wide) to protect the sidewalk if the wall is outdoors
Lightfast Pigment List
Pigment amounts will vary enormously with each mural design. House paint is not lightfast enough and even the best brands of house paint contain many fillers so it should be used only as a last resort, when covering large areas is too expensive. Download Novacolor pigment chart.
