I just finished this mural, located at the intersection of MacDonald Ave and 22nd St (in Richmond). A BBQ celebrating a graduation is the subject of the mural that college-age youth designed after attending a series of discussions on diversity led by artist Ximena Sosa. They wanted Black Lives Matter to figure prominently. This is a smaller (19 x 8′) mural commissioned by Police Activities League. Board member Brandon Evans wanted the mural to be entirely youth-led, so that they could express themselves independently.
