Who knew you could come to the Richmond Art Center to see a show about beautiful landscapes… in Richmond?

The design I developed with them felt a lot like a family portrait because of how the figures were arranged (complete with a Yorkie that had been RPAL’s mascot). There was much back and forth conversation as the youth researched the symbols they wanted included: a spiral, stars, the rising sun, and daisies and dandelions.
It’s a Wrap!
On the day we met to celebrate completion (against all odds) of the Essential Workers of the Pullman Neighborhood mural, a group of youth showed up, those who had painted. Some were with their parents and approached the mural slowly, pointing out something in the middle. They wanted to see if it was intentional.
