East Bay Express Article!

Thanks to curator Jenny Balisle and also to Bridge Art Space communications person Iris Allroy, the work of many Richmond artists is being featured in our local news. The reporter was interested in learning more about the three oil paintings I have in the Bridge The Ballot group show. Something that ties them together (besides similar treatment and palettes) is their visual humor. This is different for me as the topics I work with are serious and my treatment of them is straightforward.
These paintings are the art I needed to make to come to terms with the current administration, a therapy of sorts. I imagine more will be made this winter, since it looks like our elections will face several challenges. You can read the article here.
